• Video verifications (15-second clips for identity confirmation).

When you access our Services, we automatically collect certain information about your device and usage patterns, including:

• Log data, cookies, and tracking technologies for analytics and security.
• Geolocation (with consent, for service optimization).

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive data from partners like Stripe (for payments), AWS (for verification), or ID.me (for identity checks), limited to what's necessary for the Services.

2.4 Biometric and Verification Data

We collect biometric data (such as facial images from your 15-second verification video) and government-issued ID information solely to verify your identity and prevent fraud. This data is processed securely through Stripe Identity and is deleted after verification unless retention is required for legal or security reasons. We do not use this data for any other purpose.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Services, including processing re-sign requests, verifying documents and identity, and facilitating dispatcher approvals.
• To ensure security and prevent fraud through AI-powered checks on uploads and verification videos.
• To communicate with you regarding your account, support requests, and important updates.
• To send administrative notices and security alerts.
• To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and protect the rights and safety of our users and the platform.
• To conduct analytics, research, and development to improve our Services.
• To send marketing communications (with consent, e.g., new hall pilots).

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal information based on the following legal grounds:

• Performance of Contract: To fulfill our contractual obligations to you.

5.5 Union Hall Data Sharing

When you submit a re-sign request, certain information (including your name, local number, and verification documents) is shared with the selected union hall's dispatcher solely for the purpose of reviewing and approving your request. The hall is responsible for how they handle and store this information after receipt.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, access controls, and secure third-party services (Stripe and AWS). However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the Services at your own risk.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

When we no longer have a legitimate business need to process your information, we will securely delete, anonymize, or aggregate it in accordance with our data retention policies and applicable legal requirements.
